Hi-ya Folks! And a special “Olá” to the increasing number of WebLetter readers from Brazil. Thanks for reading!

It’s the weekend before Christmas and last minute shoppers are looking over their buy-for lists and checking them twice.

If you’re planning on shopping at Staples, just keep in mind they are going through the all-too familiar issue of credit cards possibly being hacked. About 1.16 million cards. That’s not good for us living on Amelia Island as they are the only real tech store here, other than Walmart. If you can call Walmart “tech”.

In the matter of saying, “thanks”, Facebook reported this week that some 200 million Thank You videos were created and posted on their social network using the app they created which uses photos from your Facebook page and allows you to organize them and personalize the resulting video. And which country posted the most thank you’s? Brazil. America was #2. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2014/12/17/facebook-say-thanks/20535857/

This week, I read of all the new features that have been added to Google Drive. As you know, I use Drive for storing everything from documents to photos. I also use it to send files too large for email. Now, Google has made it easy as saying “OK, Google” to search through the list of files on the Drive. If you have used the feature on your phone or tablet, you know how it can be a time saver. Google’s new Gmail functionality is also available now. To use it, just click the Google Drive icon in the compose window in Gmail and a pop-up window will appear displaying the contents in which two options are available. Insert a file either as a Drive link or an attachment. So much easier to use now. Get details on all the new things with Drive … http://zite.to/1zyCmf2

Finally, we all know that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a time for peace on earth and good will to men. It is celebrated in many ways around the world, but one sure way to make you feel good inside is watching this video from none other than Kermit the Frog from The Muppet Christmas Carol. http://mashable.com/2014/12/19/kermit-it-feels-like-christmas/

My sister was busy getting ready to host our entire family for Christmas.
On her to-do list was a hair appointment for her daughter.
So, Katie,” said the stylist as the little girl got up in the chair, “who’s coming to your house this weekend with big tummy and a jolly laugh?”
Katie replied, “I think it’s my Uncle Brian.”
(Thanks, Joe)

I try to be creative at disguising obvious gifts when wrapping Christmas presents.
One year I bought a video for my four-year-old son, and not wanting him to guess what it was, I put it in a cereal box, wrapped it and put it under the tree.
Christmas morning he tore off the paper, let out a whoop and exclaimed, “Look, Mom, I got breakfast!”
(Thanks, Karen)
====================
With that, my wish for you is a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Have a great weekend friends, and may God bless you and keep you safe.

c-ya!
