Jim’s WebLetter for 5/6/17

Hi-ya Weekenders & Friends!

It’s the first weekend in May and for us on Amelia Island, it’s the 54th Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival with booths full of arts and crafts, antiques and food. Wild caught shrimp, fish, barbecue, sweets and pies are included in that list of food. You’ll find music on stage and a good time wherever you walk. Planning on attending? Get details and parking availability on the website at http://www.shrimpfestival.com

It is a week away and you need to be thinking about Mothers Day and what you want to get for mom. This is typically when the florist gets the heaviest number of calls. No doubt, flowers are a good idea. But what about getting her something else? I came across Mothers Day Tech Gifts and in this article, I discovered a thing or two any mother would enjoy. https://techcrunch.com/gallery/12-tech-inspired-mothers-day-gifts/

Last … this week, my new iPad (the 2017 model) has been a nice addition to my tech collection. The faster processor and brighter screen make this a great buy. And the price of $329 helps to to make it one of this years’ top buys. Maybe it should have been added to the list of Mothers Day gifts in the last article.

Computer World has an article about “tips and secrets” within the iPad every owner should read. Some of the tips are for iPad Pro users, but the majority will work with any of the newer tablets. http://www.computerworld.com/article/3194352/apple-ios/17-ipad-tips-and-secrets-you-ll-use.html
That’s it this week. Have a great weekend and may God bless you and keep you safe.
