Black Friday … the best deals for Christmas gift buying.
Now that I have your complete and undivided attention, let me show you the two places to go online to FIND the best deals for your shopping list.
The first one, hands down has to be Amazon, especially if you have a Prime account. There is still nothing better than finding a good price on the thing you want to purchase and having it shipped free to your door, or the door of the intended. Most cases, the item can be gift wrapped and a card added, too.
We began using Amazon years ago when my wife and I (OK, my wife mainly … Mainly because she does the majority of the gift buying) got to the point where there wasn’t enough time to hit the stores and pack everything into the car and head home and wrap and get to the Post Office and, well you get the idea. So we found for a yearly fee, we could have the advantage of faster delivery as well as using some of the other features of Amazon Prime.
That said, Amazon has set up a page that points you to the best deals on Black Friday allowing you to shop from the comfort of your easy chair and skip the hassles of early morning store shopping and dealing with not-so-nice shoppers and impatient store employees. Just head on over to https://www.amazon.com/Black-Friday/b?ie=UTF8&node=384082011
Now if you’re more into the shopping-around-for-the-best-deals kind of person, there is a Black Friday site you should note. Black Friday Central lists deals from “participating” stores (they also call “partners”) that vary from Home Depot to Walmart to Target with links to their lists of what’s probably on your shopping list.
A quick click to Walmart revealed pages of toys and gift ideas for gamers and coffee drinkers, just to categorize a few. For instance, I clicked on the Straight Talk Apple 6 32GB Prepaid Smartphone, Space Gray color just to see what the page revealed. The $400 phone is now $199 and shipped free in 3 to 5 days. If I didn’t want to wait, I could go by the nearest Walmart (they show the address) and purchase it because it’s in stock.
What I also noticed about it was, you don’t have to wait until Black Friday to get this or any of the other things shown at the discounted price. Seems that Black Friday is more of Black Whatever Day now, and you don’t have to wait until after Thanksgiving.
Actually, it seems ALL the stores listed on the Black Friday Central site are doing the discounted price thing now. No waiting ’til. http://blackfridaycentral.net/seasonalbf?s=Black+Friday+Deals
So there you go, shoppers! Welcome to Christmas shopping 2017 where everyone has gotten a head start at price drops and you get to take advantage of the deals. From TVs to dolls, it’s out there waiting on your click.
Oh, and by the way, Happy Thanksgiving! We truly have a lot to be thankful for, don’t we?
That’s it this week. Have a great weekend and may God bless you and keep you safe.
