Lots to report this week with Apple releasing it’s latest operating system, IOS 9. In short, the new update has iPad and iPhone features that make work and play life almost worth the high price for the devices. Seriously, can you imagine paying more than $800 for the new iPad Pro? I’ve read the real reason why Apple is offering the 12.9 inch device along with it’s own keyboard is it could be the replacement for the MacBook offering the best of both worlds. Now before you check your Settings/General/Software Update to download and install the new IOS, consider the past. Something I have been seeing lately is the return to desktop email programs. Known as Clients, email software is installed on the computer, rather than Webmail which is accessed solely using a browser logging into a webpage, like Gmail. So what’s the advantage to a client over Webmail? When I had a job at the photo-developing counter of a pharmacy, the film was sometimes developed incorrectly. If this occurred, we did not charge our customers.
Once a man came to pick up his pictures, which were marked $0.00, indicating that not one of them had turned out right. The customer asked to see the photos, and when I noticed the odd splotches of color all over the pictures, I apologized profusely.
“Oh, no, these are fine,” he said happily. “I’m a microbiologist. These are my bacteria cultures.”
